As long as Covid-19 (“coronavirus”) remains a concern, many of our in-person practice sessions will remain curtailed or suspended. In their place, new online offerings have been introduced.
Comfortable clothing in which you can easily move is recommended.
Exercises and movements in SQC classes are gentle in nature. Beginners and first-timers are welcome at any class meeting. If you are new to Qigong and have any physical challenges or recent injuries, please check in with the teacher before the hour and introduce yourself. Most practices can be modified as needed. If standing practice presents a challenge, most exercises can be done while seated. (All participants are responsible for their own self-care in this respect.)
In cases of inclement weather, special circumstances, or during holiday weeks, sessions may be cancelled. Our Google calendar is frequently updated. You may also contact the indicated teacher directly. Teacher contact information appears following the schedule overview.

NOTE: Our community classes are solely educational, and focus on mindful and gentle exercise, self-care, stress reduction, and overall wellness. The teachers welcome adult participants without regard to gender, racial categories, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or economic station in life.
Neither medical diagnoses nor representations about possible therapeutic outcomes for individual participants are offered in these settings. If you have concerns or questions in this area, speak with your personal health care provider, and/or with a teacher, who may be able to provide a referral for professional consultation.
Before embarking on any new type of exercise or activity, consult with your doctor or health care provider. Participants are responsible for their own self-care.
Any practices promoted by this website are made available for your personal, non-commercial use only. Qigong practices as shared and demonstrated in SQC community classes are known to be safe. However, you voluntarily assume any and all risks, known or unknown, associated with your learning and practice of Qigong.
